These fiberglass entry doors are a relatively new choice for homeowners.   These doors are made of a composite material that is a mixture of ultra thin filaments of glass fibers (hence fiberglass), but also mixed with plastic resins which bond the fibers.   The result is a strong, durable, weavable material that can be layered to build up any shape.

Painting fiberglass entry doors is very simple.  To start the process of  painting your entry door, make some arrangement so that you can be ready to do  that.  First of all, hinges should be removed from the door.  Clean the door  using a rag, because painting a dirty door will spoil the shining and paint  will not adhere properly to your fiberglass entry doors.  While cleaning the  door warm water should be used with the rag.  You can also use acetone or some  mineral spirits to clean it thoroughly.

An added advantage of fiberglass entry doors is that they provide much better insulation (up to 5 times) than wooden doors.  Their life-span is much longer than wooden doors.  They might therefore be a somewhat more expensive than a similar door made from wood, but in the long run it should be a great investment.
